Résumé :
Nous avons effectué une étude ab initio des propriétés structurales, élastiques, électroniques, thermoélec-triques et thermodynamiques et optiques des composés BBi1-xNx pour (x=1, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 0) en utilisant la méthode des ondes planes linéairement augmentées avec potentiel total (FP-LAPW), implémentée dans le code WIEN2K. Pour évaluer le potentiel d’échange et de corrélation nous avons utilisé l’approximation GGA PBE sol, version améliorée de l’approximation du gradient généralisé. La présence de l’élément (Bi) dans nos composés nous a amenés à ajouter la correction du couplage spin orbite. Les paramètres de maille sont en bon accord avec les valeurs disponibles théoriquement a l’absence des résultats expérimentales. Les constants élastiques calculés indiquent que les composés en question sont mécaniquement stables et fragiles. Le changement de la fraction molaire x influe sur La structure des bandes nos composés sont des semi conducteurs avec des valeurs de gap très différent. Les propriétés thermoélectriques suggèrent que BBi et BBi0.25N0.75 sont de type p et qu’ils ont des facteurs de mérite (ZT) égale à l’unité alors ils peuvent êtres des candidats prometteurs pour les dispositifs thermoélectriques. Aussi nous avons étudier les propriétés optiques et thermodynamiques les résultats sont comparer avec les données théoriques disponibles à l’absence des résultats expérimentales. . Abstract : We carried out an ab initio study of the structural, elastic, electronic, thermoelectrical and thermodynamic and optical properties of the compounds. BBi1-xNx for (x = 1, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 0) using the method of linearly augmented plane waves with full potential (FP-LAPW), implemented in the WIEN2K code. To assess the exchange and correlation potential we used the GGA PBE sol approximation, an improved version of the generalized gradient approximation. The presence of the element (Bi) in our compounds led us to add the correction of the spin orbit coupling. The mesh parameters are in good agreement with the theoretically available values in the absence of experimental results. The calculated elastic constants indicate that the compounds in question are mechanically stable and brittle. The change of the molar fraction x influences the structure of the bands our compounds are semiconductors with very different gap values. Thermoelectric properties suggest that BBi and BBi0.25N0.75 are p-type and have factors of merit (ZT) equal to unity so they may be promising candidates for thermoelectric devices.
